Cross Country team starts strong in Emmanuel Meet

BOSTON, Mass. - The Wheelock cross country team got out to a strong start in Saturday's short two mile dual meet with Emmanuel College. Senior Kate Needham (North Conway, NH) placed first for the Wildcats and ninth overall with a time of 15:30, while Junior Caitlin Burke (Westborough, MA) took second for Wheelock (16:10), and freshman Cara McAuliffe (Nashua, NH) finished at 16:38 in her first collegiate competition. Maria Sideri (North Andover, MA) and Molly Thomas (Upton, MA) rounded out the field for Wheelock, who will travel to the Roger Williams Invitational on Saturday.
