Lacourse, Chiesa receive All-Conference nods
ATTLEBORO, Mass. All nine sponsored programs were represented on 2009 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Womens Soccer All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy on Friday. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week. The Wheelock womens soccer team was represented by Senior Lindsey Lacourse (Scarborough, Maine) and sophomore goal keeper Allie Chiesa (Medford, Mass.)

Chiesa nets 15 saves in loss
BOSTON, Mass. Sophomore goalkeeper Allie Chiesa (Medford, Mass.) notched 15 saves, but it wasn't enough as Wheelock fell to Lesley 5-0 in conference play Saturday afternoon. Lesley senior Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) got the hat trick and sister Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) netted a goal to help the Lynx stay undefeated in the New England Collegiate Conference. Butler kicks game-winner to lift Wildcats in double-overtime
BOSTON, Mass. For the third home game in a row the Wheelock College womens soccer team was pushed to overtime, and for the second time, the Wildcats pulled out the victory. Sophomore forward Haley Butler (Yarmouthsport, Mass.) booted the game-winner from mid-field on a goal kick 1:28 into the second overtime to give Wheelock its first New England Collegiate Conference win of the season. Mitchell edges Wheelock 3-2 in overtime
BOSTON, Mass. Nicki Hoxie (Winstead, CT) scored a goal 27 seconds into overtime as Mitchell College edged Wheelock College 3-2 Tuesday night in New England Collegiate Conference action. Hoxie picked up a rebound from Wheelock goal keeper Allie Chiesa (Medford, MA) to net the game winner. The sophomore forward led the Mariners with seven shots on goal, and three points on the night. Lady Hawks Glide Past Wheelock
Leicester, Mass- Catherine Millette (Columbia, Conn) netted two first half goals, to help carry Becker College to a 5-0 win over Wheelock College in New England Collegiate Conference womens soccer action. (Above: Niki Wilson battles in a previous game this season.)

Lacourse kicks Wildcats to win
BOSTON, Mass. It took an extra 55 seconds of play, but the Wheelock Wildcats won their first game of the season in dramatic fashion, defeating Massachusetts Maritime Academy 2-1 Tuesday night. Midfielder Haley Butler won a battle at midfield, dribbled past a pair of defenders, and found Lindsey Lacourse (Scarborough, ME) cutting towards the net for the game-winning score less than a minute into the first overtime. Womens soccer turns in best performance yet, falls to ENC
QUINCY, Mass. The Wheelock womens soccer team gave up only three goals on Thursday night, but the offense continues to search for that first goal as the Wildcats fell 3-0 to Eastern Nazarene College. The Lions Kara Webber (Marshfield, MA) provided all the offense her team would need scoring three times in under 12 minutes in the first half to help Eastern Nazarene improve to 2-5 on the season, while the Wildcats fell to 0-4. Wildcats held scoreless in home-opener
BOSTON, Mass. The Wheelock Wildcats battled tough in the home opener, but fell to DeSales University 9-0 Sunday afternoon at Winsor Field. First year goalie Allie Chiesa was again strong in goal, facing 29 shots and recording 12 saves. Three different Bulldog players scored two goals each for DeSales as the Pennsylvania team recorded its first victory of the season. (Senior Captain Erin Reardon pictured above)

Women's soccer open up with a loss
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. The Wheelock womens soccer team opened up the 2009 on the road with a tough 8-0 loss against Framingham State. First year goalie Allie Chiesa (Medford, MA) recorded 22 saves for the Wildcats, facing 46 shots on the night. Wheelock hosts DeSale on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 in the home opener at Winsor Field.
