Soccer drops two close matches in NECC play

The Wheelock soccer team dropped a pair of close conference games last week, losing 5-3 to Mitchell College and 3-1 to Becker College. The losses dropped the wildcats to sixth place in the NECC, but the team remains in the running for a playoff spot.
Sophomore Nicole Zina (Bristol, RI) scored her first goal of the season in the loss to Mitchell while freshman Kim Rogers (Derby, CT) notched her second goal as a wildcat. Junior Lindsey Lacourse (Scarborough, ME) continued her offensive production, scoring another goal and assist on the week, giving her ten points on the season.
On Saturday, Nicki Wilson (Brighton, MA) scored the only goal for the wildcats while teammate Victoria Fernandes (Randolph, MA) recorded nine saves.
