Soccer award winners named
Boston, Mass. - Head coach Stephanie Smyrl handed out awards to three student-athletes Sunday night. Amanda Siebert received the Coach's Award, Erin Reardon received the Wildcat Award, and Allie Rogers was named the Most Improved Player.

LaBossiere named to NECC all-conference team
Brooke LaBossiere received NECC soccer second team all-conference honors as a freshman.

The Wheelock womens soccer team was the recipient of the 2008 NECC Team Sportsmanship Award.

Dias scores two goals in Wheelock win on senior day
Boston, Mass. Senior Alanna Dias (Swansea, MA) stepped up big for the Wheelock Wildcats, netting two goals and an assist to help lead her team to a 9-2 win over Southern Vermont College Sunday in NECC play. Fellow senior Stacy Seidner (Pembroke, NH) also had a pair of goals and an assist, while Leah Spector (Madison, CT), the third in the graduating class, helped win the ball at midfield numerous times, as the Wildcats outshot the Mountaineers 39 to 3.

Soccer drops two close matches in NECC play
The Wheelock soccer team dropped a pair of close conference games last week, losing 5-3 to Mitchell College and 3-1 to Becker College. The losses dropped the wildcats to sixth place in the NECC, but the team remains in the running for a playoff spot

Womens soccer battles to tie in double overtime
Chestnut Hill, MA - The Wildcats of Wheelock and Bay Path College battled to a 1-1 tie in double overtime Tuesday afternoon in conference play. Bay Path scored the first goal five minutes into the game when junior Jessica Hunt (Madison, CT) knocked in a pass from Silvia Galvan (Wilbraham, MA).

LaBossiere scores two goals on the week, lifts Wildcats over Newbury
Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Freshman Brook LaBossiere (Mattapoissett, MA) scored what would prove to be the game winning goal in the second half of Saturdays game to give Wheelock a 3-2 victory over Newbury College and their first win in the newly formed New England Collegiate Conference (NECC).
