Brooke Freeburg heads into her first
season as the head coach of the Wheelock Wildcats. Freeburg has
previously coached a number of basketball camps in the Northeast
including Brown and Amherst College, and has also coached at Angie
Potthoff's Summer Camp at Family First Sports Park in Erie,
Pennsylvania.
A native of Waterford, Pennsylvania,
Freeburg played her college ball at Providence College where she
was also a member of the track and field teams. She was a two-year
captain of the basketball team and a Track and Field All-American
in 2001 in the javelin. Freeburg won two individual Big East titles
in the javelin as well and was named to the Big East All-Academic
Team in 2003 and 2004.
