Bats come to life in Wheelock wins


Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Wheelock Wildcat bats came alive in a big one Saturday afternoon in double-header wins over Southern Vermont.

After managing only five hits in a 12-0 opening game win, the Wildcats pounded out 15 hits, including multi-hit games from five different players. Senior Stacy Seidner (Pembroke, NH), after pitching a shutout in game one, went 3-4 with four RBI's in her final home game. Teammate Nicole Zina (Bristol, RI) was 2-3 with four RBI's and Elise Ordile (Waltham, MA) continued her hot hitting with a 3-3 performance and three ribbies.

Amanda Siebert (Salem, CT) also collected three RBI's with four runs scored, while Sarah Novak (Needham, MA) and Mary Porter (East Falmouth, MA) were both 2-2.

For Southern Vermont, Alyssa Davis (Lyndonville, VT) and Leigh Meola (Hackettstown, NJ) each had multi-hit games.  Kayla Whitman (Bennington, VT) took the loss on the mound for the Mountaineers, while Nicole Perullo (Revere, MA) notched the win for Wheelock.
