Field hockey to host Daniel Webster Tuesday

ATTLEBORO, Mass.-The 2008 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) champions, Becker College has claimed the top seed for the 2009 New England Collegiate Conference Field Hockey Championship, which begins with semifinal matchups on campus sites Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The Hawks (11-8 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming NECC tournament after posting a perfect 8-0 conference record for the second straight season.
Wheelock College (6-10 overall) earned the second spot as the #2 seed while finishing 6-2 in conference. Daniel Webster College (6-8 overall) will be the #3 seed with a 4-4 NECC finish, while Elms College grabs the final spot in the tournament with 2-6 conference record for the #4 seed.
#1 seed Becker will host the #4 seed Elms at a 6:30 p.m. start, while #3 Daniel Webster will travel to #2 Wheelock for a 6:30 p.m. start both on Tuesday, November 3rd. For directions to Winsor Field in Boston, please click here.
The winners of these semi-finals will then travel to the higher seed for the championship match on Saturday, November 7 at a 1:00 p.m. start time. All published start times are subject to change.
