Elizabeth Sullivan was hired as the Wheelock women's lacrosse program's first head coach in August 2010, and she returns in 2012 for her second season. During the squad's initial campaign, the Wildcats picked up their first victory, 23-13, over Daniel Webster College on April 23 and suffered three of their losses by six goals or fewer.
Sullivan provides a strong background as a lacrosse instructor, having coached for four years on Long Island at the MVP Lacrosse Camp for girls between sixth and 12th grade and working for two years at a girls' lacrosse camp at her alma mater, Kellenberg Memorial High School, in Uniondale, N.Y. In the Boston area, Sullivan has coached seventh and eighth graders through Brookline Youth Lacrosse.
A three-year defender for a Division I program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Sullivan helped the squad make the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament title game each season, winning the championship in 2001. Johns Hopkins posted a 33-20 mark during the her career. Sullivan, a Dean's List student who graduated with a degree in political science in 2003, earned a Juris Doctor degree at Boston's New England Law in 2007 after also drawing Dean's List honors.
