Wheelock College to add men’s and women’s lacrosse for 2010-2011 academic year

BOSTON, Mass. - Wheelock College Director of Athletics Diana Cutaia announced the addition of men's and women's lacrosse to begin play in the 2010-2011 academic year. The expansion brings the Wheelock varsity sports total to 11; five men's and six women's programs.

Wheelock College has been opened to male students since 1977, and offered the first NCAA varsity sports for male student athletes in 2006 with the inception of men's basketball and tennis.
