Tennis ends with win and Sportsmanship Award
BOSTON, Mass. - Behind Senior Kate Needham’s gutsy three set victory at #3 singles, the Wheelock Wildcats pulled out a 5-4 win over Newbury College Friday afternoon. In a match that spanned three days due to weather, Wheelock jumped out to a 2-1 lead after number one doubles where Wilson Chang and Bobby Venning teamed to win, 8-5.

Tennis shut out by Mitchell in conference action
BOSTON, Mass. - The Wheelock men's tennis team played hard but fell to a very tough Mitchell squad 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at Winsor tennis courts. The win drops Wheelock to 1-9 on the season while Mitchell College remains undefeated at 10-0. The Mariners already clenched the New England Collegiate Conference title with a win earlier this week.

Tennis falls to UMass Boston in tough battle
BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Bobby Venning (Greenfield, NH) defeated Himanshu Dubey in three sets (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) in number two singles last night, but it was the only singles victory as the Wheelock tennis team fell to UMass Boston 7-2 at Winsor Field. Senior Jessi Ritucci (Holliston, Mass.) pushed Brian Sou to three sets in number five singles, but fell in the final set 4-6.

Tennis team looks for new results with new head coach
BOSTON, Mass. - The Wheelock men's tennis team returns the three top players from last year's team as the Wildcats look to make a run at the New England Collegiate Conference title under first year head coach Sean Duke-Crocker.
