Wheelock falls to Mitchell in tennis double-header
NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's tennis team picked up two more NECC victories today against Wheelock College in a doubleheader bringing their overall record to 8-0 and their NECC record to 6-0. Kyle Carmona (Norwich, Conn.) won both of his #1 singles matches today, and he paired with Dan Dworetsky (Glastonbury, Conn.) at the number #1 doubles slot in both matches for wins.
Chris White (Marshfield, Mass.), Andrew Small (Westerly, R.I.), Alex Fusco (Saugus, Mass.), and Adrien Tucker (Brookfield, Conn.) all picked up singles wins in the lop-sided doubleheader match against the Wildcats of Wheelock College. Tyler Engleberg (Niantic, Conn.) picked up a singles win (#2) and two doubles wins with teammates Samuel Mahar (Hoosick, N.Y.) and Devon Cornelius (Lakeville, Mass).
Mitchell is back on the courts on Sunday, April 26th when they travel to Lesley University where they will try to extend their winning streak to nine matches.
