Mens soccer receives sportsmanship award
ATTLEBORO, Mass. The Wheelock mens soccer team, led by head coach Sercan Fenerci, were honored as the 2009 NECC Team Sportsmanship Award recipients. Goalkeeper Victor Kashouh (Providence, RI) received All-Conference honorable mention for his performance this season. In his first season playing the sport, Kashouh led the conference in saves, with 164 in 11 games, averaging almost 15 per contest. The sophomore made history in his first game, when he recorded 29 saves against Suffolk University which ties him for 15th all-time in NCAA Division III mens soccer.

Freshmen lead Daniel Webster past Wheelock
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. Freshman Joel Jerrhag (Ystad, Sweden) scored a pair of goals and assisted another as Daniel Webster defeated Wheelock College 5-0 Tuesday afternoon at Pine Manor College. The Eagles outshot the Wildcats 43-2 as they improved to 4-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference, moving into sole possession of first place. Wildcats fall to Newbury in conference action
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. Shaundize Moosavizadeh (Winchester, Mass.) and Nicholas Sehovich (Pellham, NH) each scored a pair of goals Saturday afternoon to lead Newbury College to a 4-1 win over Wheelock College in New England Collegiate Conference action. The win improves the Nighthawks to 2-1 in the conference, while the Wildcats continue searching for the first victory in program history. (Above: J.J. Hall provides offense in defeat
BOSTON, Mass. William Hall (Hingham, Mass.) provided a spark of offense with his first goal of the season Saturday afternoon, but it wasnt enough to stop a potent Emmanuel offense as Wheelock fell to Emmanuel College, 9-1 on a rain-soaked afternoon at Clemente Field. Wildcats continue searching for first win
Leicester, Mass.- Derek King (Marshfield, Mass) scored a first half hat trick, as Becker College defeated Wheelock College 6-0 in mens soccer action Monday night. Kaim scores first two goals for mens soccer program
CHICOPEE, Mass. In a season filled with firsts, Wheelock sophomore Max Kaim (Fort Lauderdale, FL) etches his name in the record books by scoring the first two goals in the history of the program in Saturdays 7-2 loss to Elms College. Blazer freshman forward Tavish Leland (Bridgton, ME) netted a pair of first half goals to help lift the Elms College to their first New England Collegiate Conference mens soccer opener at Leary Field. Kashouh turns in record setting performance
BOSTON, Mass. To say that goalkeeper Victor Kashouh (Providence, RI) was impressive in his first game for the Wheelock mens soccer team is an understatement. Though the Wildcats fell 9-0 to Suffolk University in the first mens soccer game in school history, Kashouh recorded 29 saves; the most by a goalkeeper in NCAA Division III mens soccer since 2007 and tied for 15th in the history of Division III mens soccer.

Wildcats play tough defense in first game
SOMERVILLE, Mass. The Wheelock mens soccer team played the first ever NCAA varsity match in school history Monday night, fall 8-0 to Suffolk University at Dillboy Stadium. Despite the offensive output of the Rams, Wheelock sophomore goalkeeper Victor Kashouh (Providence, RI; pictured above) recorded 29 saves, the most of any NCAA Division III mens soccer goalkeeper since 2007, and is tied for the 15th most in one game by a single player.

Mens soccer team prepares for inaugural season
BOSTON, Mass. The past three years have included a series of firsts for the Wheelock College athletic department, and next Monday will be another, when the mens soccer team takes on Suffolk University in the first NCAA mens soccer game in college history. The soccer program is the fourth mens varsity sport to be offered at Wheelock since 2006, and the college now boasts nine mens and womens varsity programs.

Wheelock College names first ever head coach for Men's Soccer
Boston, Mass. - Wheelock College Director of Athletics Diana Cutaia has announced the hiring of Sercan Fenerci as the first head coach of the newly formed men's varsity soccer program.
Coach Fenerci brings to this position a life-long love of soccer and a familiarity with the commitment required to get a new program off the ground, having spent the past two years at Wheelock as an assistant to men's basketball head coach John Preziosa. The men's basketball team, established at Wheelock in 2007, won their first playoff game in team history during the 2008-2009 season, and Coach Fenerci played a crucial role in the team's success.
