Field hockey award winners named
Boston, Mass. - Head coach Kyoungho Koh handed out awards to three student-athletes Sunday night. Julie Kilcoyne received the Coach's Award, Michaela Ross received the Wildcat Award, and Alanna Pihl (not pictured) was named the Most Improved Player.

Hefford named to NECC all-conference team
Freshman Kylie Hefford was named to the NECC field hockey first team for her efforts on defense this year.

Wheelock falls in playoffs to Hawks
Leicester, Mass.- Kristal Swiderski (Warren, Mass.) scored a hat trick, to help glide Becker past Wheelock 4-1 in New England Collegiate Conference Postseason Field Hockey action.

McAuliffe, Chaffee come up big for Wildcats in conference play
Boston, MA Kelsey McAuliffe (Groveland, MA) and Jill Chaffee (Bridgewater, MA) each scored a pair of goals Saturday afternoon as the Wheelock Wildcats defeated Bay Path College 5-1 in conference action. The win leaves Wheelock with a 4-4 record in the NECC, while Bay Path drops to 0-8 in their inaugural season of play.

Boston, MA Sophomore Julie Kilcoyne (Sterling, MA) scored two goals and Meredith Race (Marion, MA) recorded 8 saves as the Wheelock Wildcats defeated Daniel Webster 3-2 Monday night in NECC action.

Shute makes smooth transition to defense
Kelsey McAuliffe (Groveland, MA) scored two goals against Elms College, but it wasnt enough to propel the wildcats to victory as the team fell 4-2 in conference action. Wheelock outshot the blazers 17-8, with 12 of those shots coming in the second half. Julie Kilcoyne (Sterling, MA) and Kylie Hefford (Exeter, NH) each had an assist in the effort.

Pihl scores winning goal in thrilling victory
Boston, Mass. Freshman Alanna Pihl (Franconia, NH) scored in the second overtime to lead the Wheelock Wildcats to a thrilling 3-2 win over visiting Elms College Saturday in New England Collegiate Conference play.

Field hockey defeats Bay Path, Michaela Ross earns honors
Longmeadow, Mass. The Wheelock field hockey team defeated Bay Path College 5-0 on Saturday, winning the first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) game in school history and improving to 1-1 on the week.
