Wildcats kick off pre-season

 

BOSTON, Ma. - The Wheelock Wildcats officially kicked off the pre-season on Sunday afternoon, with members of the four fall teams returning to campus for two weeks of practice before the regular season begins. Over 40 student athletes arrived on campus Saturday morning. The 2009-2010 academic year will be the first for the men's soccer team and the second for men's and women's cross country.

Field hockey kicks off the regular fall season on September 2nd when the Wildcats, under second year head coach Kyoungho Koh, host Western Connecticut State at Winsor Field. Game time is set for 7:00 pm. For the rest of the field hockey schedule, please click here.

Women's soccer will host the home opener against non-conference opponent DeSales College on September 6th at 12:00 PM at Winsor High School, under third year head coach Stephanie Smyrl. For a complete schedule for women's soccer, please click here.

Men's soccer will host their first home contest against New England Collegiate Conference opponent Southern Vermont College on September 20th at 1:00 PM at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill. For the complete men's soccer schedule, please click here.

The cross country team will begin formal competition on September 5th, competing against Emmanuel College in Boston. The Wildcats are under the guidance of second year head coach Bryan Mahoney. For a complete cross country schedule, please click here.
