Coach Kim Lloyd is entering her third season as the head softball coach at Wheelock College. In 2009, the Wildcat softball team qualified for the playoffs for the first time in ten years, posting a 7-9 record in the New England Collegiate Conference before falling to Mitchell College in the quarter-finals. In 2009 the Wildcats finished fourth in the conference in pitching; posting a 3.71 team ERA.
In 2008, Lloyd guided the Wildcats to a 7-21 record and a 3-17 conference record. Prior to arriving at Wheelock, Lloyd spent three years as an assistant softball coach at Penn State Altoona and one year as an assistant coach at the high school level in Pennsylvania.
Before coaching softball, Lloyd spent two years as an assistant lacrosse coach at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she was a three year varsity starter and a member of two ECAC championship teams. Lloyd graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communications/English.
Lloyd also serves as the Sports Information Director at Wheelock
College and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Sports
Leadership at Northeastern University.
