Jayson Hill began his tenure at Wheelock as the head athletic trainer in August 2010 after serving in the same role at nearby Manchester Essex Regional High School during the prior school year.

A veteran medical professional, Hill preceded his year at Manchester Essex Regional with a handful of stints as an intern in 2007 and 2008 while receiving his undergraduate education from Salem State University. In addition to working closely with the Viking women's basketball and men's soccer teams, Hill gained experience with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League (AHL), Governor's Academy in Byfield, and Malden High School.

Hill has also been heavily involved in health care beyond the realm of athletic training, including having served as a cardiovascular and strength training representative at the Danvers Community YMCA since 2007. Previously a health and safety representative and rescue technician for O'Connor Safety Corporation in Canton, Hill was a member of Salem-based Northshore Ambulance between 2001 and 2003. He completed the Greater Nashua (N.H.) Paramedic Program in 2004.

Hill graduated cum laude from Salem State with a degree in athletic training.
