Dear Wildcat Family:
As the athletic director, I have the humbling honor of creating a positive and productive environment to facilitate our athlete's academic achievement and athletic experience; and I love my job. I want to share with you a little about the Wildcat Family ...
The core values of our department are simple: respect , commitment, balance, teamwork, integrity and communication. We believe that respect is not earned, it is given. We respect our student-athletes, officials, coaches, administrators, opponents and fans from the first moment we encounter them. We believe that respect is a value that is above all others and at the center of our department. Our athletes are committed to their academics, their team, their progress and themselves. We understand the demands of being a student-athlete, but focus on trying to maintain balance. When possible, we take the time needed to recharge, be with our families, and grow as a person. Success and growth are the results of teamwork. We ensure as much as possible that decisions are made thinking of the whole department, not just an individual or team. For this department, integrity stands alongside respect. We feel as though our team members must have respect not just for others, but for the commitments they make. We are measured by the words we speak and the actions that follow them. Within any successful team there is a strong line of communication. In this department, all doors are open and dissent is welcome. Although agreement may not always be the result, it is our goal that what will result is understanding and compromise. Through respectful and honest communication there can be growth, improvement, and success.
This website is for every member of our Wheelock Family. Take some time to look around, get to know our athletes and staff. If you have a question, ASK US.
I look forward to meeting you all.
