Senior point guard Kyle Pierce averaged 12.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 52% (14-27) from the floor in three games to help the men's basketball team to a perfect 3-0 showing.

Senior forward Kayla Drescher (Wallingford, CT) averaged a double-double of 12.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game to go with 2.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.0 blocks per game. She also broke the school record for career blocked shots.

Junior Kylie Hefford tallied 6:53 into overtime on Wednesday evening, lifting the field hockey squad past Pilgrim Road neighbor Simmons. It was the Wildcats' first victory over the Sharks in at least nine years. The goal was the second of Hefford's career, and her first winner.

Robbins makes history
BOSTON, Mass. - Sherard Robbins dropped a lay-up over three Southern Vermont defenders with 9:12 remaining in the second half to give the Wildcats a two point advantage, and put himself in the record books. The basket gave Robbins his 1,000th point as a Wildcat, a feat he achieved in only two and a half seasons of play.

BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Keneisha Milton (Boston, Mass.) has become a force to reckon with for the Wildcat women’s basketball team for head coach Brooke Freeburg. Milton led Wheelock with 20 rebounds last week, averaging 6.7 per game and averaged 5.3 points over the three contests.

BOSTON, Mass. - Junior Dan Main was 6-8 from the field and 11-15 from the charity stripe in scoring 24 points to help lead the Wildcats to a 91-84 win over Emmanuel College last week. The win improves the Wheelock men's basketball team to 4-0 this season.

Willy the Wildcat prepares for preseason
Boston, MA—Willy the Wildcat has been busy all summer preparing for the upcoming fall season! He has been following the summer work out plans posted on the website and continues to work hard so he can be in shape for preseason, which starts on Saturday, August 22nd. When he is not kicking the ball around, or playing pick-up with his friends, you can find Willy relaxing on the beach and catching some rays (of course he applies his sun block). Sophomore Nicole Zina (Bristol, RI) hammered her first collegiate home run Saturday afternoon in a 13-4 to conference rival Bay Path College. Zina was 1-5 with two RBI's last week and leads the Wildcats with a .321 batting average.
