Senior point guard Kyle Pierce averaged 12.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 52% (14-27) from the floor in three games to help the men's basketball team to a perfect 3-0 showing.
Pierce closed out the week with a pair of outstanding performances, netting a team-high 19 points on 8-13 from the field to go with five rebounds, five assists and a steal in the Wildcats' 71-60 overtime victory over visiting Elms College on January 26. He capped the week with 15 points in a 70-63 road win at Mitchell College on Saturday. Pierce is averaging 10.3 points per game for the season and is just five made free throws away from being Wheelock's career leader in makes from the charity stripe.
