Kayla Drescher, basketball

Senior forward Kayla Drescher (Wallingford, CT) averaged a double-double of 12.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game to go with 2.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.0 blocks per game.  She also broke the school record for career blocked shots and shot 71.4% (10-14) from the free throw line.

Drescher began the week by posting a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds vs. Elms College and broke the school record with her second of four blocks on the night.  She ended the week with 69 blocks for her career.  The post player came back two days later on January 19 vs. Becker College to grab nine more rebounds, block two more shots and hand out five assists, while scoring six points.  She saved her best for last with a career-high 20 points in addition to 11 boards, three assists, three steals and three blocks vs. Southern Vermont College on January 21.
