Michelle Greene, field hockey
Sophomore Michelle Greene (Mansfield, MA) was named the NECC Field Hockey Player of the Week. The goalkeeper was impressive in a pair of matches for the Wildcats, making 27 saves, while posting a 3.50 goals against average and a sterling .794 save percentage in 140 minutes of action. The Mansfield High School product began the week by making seven saves in a 4-1 loss at Salve Regina University on September 1. The sophomore recorded perhaps the most impressive effort of her career with a lifetime best 20 saves in a 3-1 defeat to Western Connecticut State University on September 3. Greene currently ranks second in the NECC with a .794 save percentage, while standing third in the league with a 3.50 GAA.
