Matt Burns, men's lacrosse

Sophomore Matt Burns (Cheyenne, WY/Cheyenne East) produced the first hat trick in program history while adding an assist, seven face-off wins and nine ground balls during Wheelock's contest on Saturday at Rivier College. The Wildcats dropped a 9-6 affair, the closest decision of their inaugural campaign, as Burns assisted the first goal of the game before scoring his team's final three tallies while trying to carry it out of a late deficit.
