Eric Rice, men's basketball

Junior Eric Rice (Woburn, MA/Woburn) averaged 21.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks last week while shooting 55.8 percent from the floor, including 5-of-10 from three-point range. Rice also hit 10 of 12 free-throw tries. Rice's biggest game was a 23-point, 13-board outing during a 79-66 victory over Daniel Webster College on Saturday, when he hit the tie-breaking freebies with 4:54 left. The next day, in a 78-72 overtime loss against Salem State University, Rice had a career-high 26 points, nine rebounds and three blocks versus a team that has been to three of the past four NCAA Tournaments.
