Major: Juvenile justice and psychology. What made you choose that major? Well, I always wanted to be a lawyer and I like working with kids, so I thought why not put the two together. Is that what you want to do for a career then? Yes, but I would rather work more inside with juvenile delinquents in the system, than just being a lawyer.
Nickname: Jess, Jessie. That's about it.
What do you like most about Wheelock? The thing I like most about it is that it's really close-knit. Everyone really knows each other. Even if you haven't really conversed with someone, everybody knows each other by name.
Where is your favorite place on campus? I actually don't know. I don't think I have a favorite yet.
What is your favorite sports team? I don't think I have a favorite. What about on campus? The basketball team.
Who is your favorite athlete? My favorite athlete would have to be Michael Jordan. I've always admired him. Really? Why? Just 'cause like he's just awesome, I don't know. He just came from somewhere really small and made it really big. He's always out to help others and stuff. He's really awesome at basketball.
What is something that most people don’t know about you? Well, something that most people don't know about me is that I'm actually a twin, but my twin died at birth. I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you have any other siblings? Yes, I have an older sibling, my Sister. She lives in New York right now. She's 23 years old. Does she go to school in New York? Yes, she went to Saint John's University.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? I'd have to say New York. I love going to New York. What do you like about New York? Just that it's just so big and there's always something to do. You're never really bored over there. I have a lot of family that live there too.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your sport? I think, just in general, improving on things like really catching onto the plays and the way the routines and the warm-ups and everything that we do pretty quickly I can say. Just like working hard to catch up to like the level where all the upperclassmen are at.
What is your favorite holiday? Actually, can I have two? Yes. It could be Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have Thanksgiving at my house, so all my family comes over and we just prepare dinner and sit down and chat. Afterwards, the children all go to like the movies or something or bowling. For Christmas, the same thing, it's at my Aunt's house, so we all get together. I like that.
Bacon bits or croutons? Croutons. Why croutons? I like the crunchiness of it.
Would you rather live in a log cabin or downtown? Downtown. Why downtown? Because it's close to everything to have fun.
What does community service mean to you? Community service means a lot, because I've been in Catholic school my whole life until now. So, every year, we were required an allotted amount of hours to do community service, so I would always try and do something different. I always worked with kids or try to help out others, mostly, instead of just working in an office filing papers. It means a lot, because I always love to help others. Did you have a favorite project that you did? Yes. Junior year, I became part of CityYear, so I was part of the City Heroes and I liked that a lot.
Do you have any pets? No, I do not. I wish I had a dog, though. What kind of dog? A Yorkie. Why do you like Yorkies so much? They're so small and cute.
What is your favorite movie or movies? My favorite movie is "To Sir with Love" with Sidney Poitier. I would say that's my favorite movie because it's not the typical...Like "Freedom Fighters", you know how it's Hilary Swank helping out inner city kids. It's like Sidney Poitier helping out Caucasian inner city kids. It's really good, I like that.
What is your favorite artist or band? I don't have a favorite. I have a favorite genre. What's your favorite genre? R&B, because it's relaxing and soothing.
Favorite pre-game song to get pumped up? I have to listen to Ja-Rule or DMX because they're like really loud and their beats are really strong.
Pepsi or Coke? Neither, I do not drink soda. What do you drink instead? Water or juice.
Favorite Cereal? Cinnamon Toast Crunch. You're so excited. Why do you like it so much? I don't know. I think it's the cinnamon part of it. Other than that, it's not really a healthy cereal.
What is your favorite city or town? New York.
What is your favorite ice cream? Rum Raisin. Where's your favorite place to get it? There's this place called the Dairy Barn in Randolph by my house. I like it there.
How many foreign countries have you been to? Just one. Haiti. How did you like it? I liked it. I was six, but from what I remember I liked it.
If it could rain something other than rain, what would it rain? Candy. Any particular type? No, all types.
Who is your favorite Sesame Street character? The Cookie Monster. Why the Cookie Monster? Because I love cookies and it's just funny that he used to always just eat cookies, but he's no longer there anymore! Yeah, I heard that. He's the Veggie Monster. That's awful. It is. You can't take away the Cookie Monster! It's not the same. The Veggie Monster, who wants to hear that? I'm upset about that. It's unfortunate. It is.
Hats or no hats? No hats. Why no hats? It messes up my hair.
Morning or night? Night. Why do you like night so much? I'm not a morning person at all, whatsoever. I think it's because I was born at night time.
Peanut Butter: Crunchy or creamy? Both. Whoa. Is there a particular mood that you need to be in to have one or the other? Yeah, I don't know what mood that is. It's just like what I feel like having, I'll have at that point and time.
Favorite Season? I would have to say Spring. Like right before it hits Summer. So, like the end of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Why do you like that? Because then it's not too hot, but it's not cold either. It's just like perfect temperature.
Who's your favorite Family Guy character? I do not watch Family Guy. What's your favorite thing to watch on TV? I like reality TV shows. I don't really watch a whole lot of TV, but if I had to watch TV, it's reality TV. Which reality show do you watch? I watch a few. I watch, like the The Kardashians. I find that interesting, because they're like really creepy. They're not a regular family. They're not a normal family for me actually. Love and Hip-Hop. Which is about hip-hop stars and their lives. Oh, Basketball Wives. Only because of the drama. It's funny to watch and laugh at them about it, because they're grown women fighting over little issues that my little cousin doesn't even do.
