Major: Visual arts major and a child life major. That's a curious combination. Why did you choose that? Visual arts - I love to do art work. I love just to draw, paint, sketch. I thought I could connect it to child life, because working with children, incorporating my skills, which I have gained over the years in which I could teach them and communicate to them. Through that so they can interpret and connect their lives. What's your career intention? I'm in the child life program, so I'm hoping to be a child life specialist. So, I want to work in the hospital with kids, before and after surgeries, as the family liaison with doctors and medical staff.
Nickname: They call me Stott.
What do you like most about Wheelock? I like how I feel as though I know all the professors. How the relationship with professors can be low key and personal, rather than at a big university, where you have to struggle to find a professor when you're one of 500 in a lecture hall.
Where is your favorite place on campus? That's a good one. I like CCSR, just because it's like that's where everything is pretty much and where you usually go to say hey.
What is your favorite sports team? I'd say the Boston Bruins. How long have you been a hockey fan? I haven't been an avid hockey fan for a long time, but when I was growing up, I used to watch the Bruins with my family and my uncles and such. My uncle's a hockey player, so I like the sport more and such. Did he play in college or the pros? He played...he didn't get pro, but his level, I think it was...it was up there, I'm not sure the extent of hockey.
Who is your favorite athlete? That's a good question. I'd say Lance Armstrong for everything he's done, what he's gone through. He's overcome so much.
What is something that most people don’t know about you? When I was born I weighed two pounds, three ounces.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? I'd say either in Maine or I'd say in New Hampshire as well. Where in Maine? Limerick, Maine.
What accomplishment are you most proud of in your sport? Just being able to play at the collegiate level. I never had thought when I was younger that I'd be playing soccer still. I've always loved the sport and played since I was five years old, I would say. It really has helped me do a lot things, which make me who I am.
What is your favorite holiday? I'd say Christmas. You get to see people, who I don't see in a while. Family comes together. Decorations are up and it's just a time when everyone can laugh and smile and be together.
Bacon bits or croutons? I'd say bacon bits. Why bacon bits? Croutons are just not my thing. Bacon bits have flavor. Not into stale bread are you? No, not into stale bread.
Would you rather live in a log cabin or downtown? If I could, I'd live in a log cabin downtown, but that's not the question. I would live downtown probably. I like to be around people at times. I love the city. Do you have a favorite place in the city? I'd say anywhere in the Fenway area. In the Prudential area as well. So open and so many places to be. Boston's a big city, so there's never a dull moment.
What does community service mean to you? Community service to me is helping others, volunteering and putting yourself out there to help those, who are less fortunate than you or the situation they are currently in. I feel like community service is needed to occur more often in society. Do you have any favorite community service projects that you've done? I studied abroad and did community service in Honduras, actually, at an orphanage, where I got to interact with orphans from the ages of two to six. That was a really powerful experience to go there and witness everything and pretty much interact with them and show them what life could be and just put smiles on their faces.
Do you have any pets? Yes, I do actually. I have a cat and a pet turtle. What kind of turtle is it? It's a snapper turtle. How did you come about getting a snapper turtle? I actually rescued him. I work at a beach area and there was this parking lot and a seagull almost ate him, so I grabbed him and put him back in the water and he came back out, so I was like, "alright, you're coming home with me". So, I brought him home and have had him ever since. How long have you had him? I'd say a year and a half now. How big is he? I'd say, he's getting three inches. Will he get bigger than that? Yes, much bigger. I don't know exactly how big, but I'm ready for it. What's his name? Franklin. What do you feed Franklin? He eats the pellets. We tried feeding him live worms, but he wasn't interested in that. You said you have a cat as well. Yes, I have a cat as well. My parents' cat. How long have you had the cat? I've had my cat, Tucker, for 13 years.
What is your favorite movie or movies? I'd say "Shawshanke Redemption". Great film. It is a great film. Has every aspect of adventure and has a great message to it as well.
What is your favorite artist or band? I like Drake and this will sound completely opposite, but I like Dave Matthews Band as well. Just two different, completely different styles. That's just the way that music is.
Favorite pre-game song to get pumped up? Not really. I just shuffle on my iPod. Whatever there is there.
Pepsi or Coke? I'd say Coke. My family has always had Coke in the house. I was raised on that.
Favorite Cereal? I'd say Frosted Flakes with sliced bananas on it.
What is your favorite city or town? I'd say Boston. I had never been to Boston that much before I attended Wheelock. It's so open and adventurous and there's so much to do. It's a great city to be in.
What is your favorite ice cream? I'd say chocolate chip cookie dough. Where do you get it from? I like Ben & Jerry's. I've been to the factory up in Vermont.
How many foreign countries have you been to? I've been to two. I've been to England and I've been to Honduras. What was the occasion that you went to England? I was 12 years old and family friends of mine took me and my older brother to go with them for a week in the summer. We explored England and went sightseeing and everything. It was an adventure. It was something that I'll never forget.
If it could rain something other than rain, what would it rain? Money. It's what society runs on. Especially, since I need money right now.
Who is your favorite Sesame Street character? I'd say the Cookie Monster. Class act. Different. Loves cookies. Unhealthy. Are you aware that the Cookie Monster has been replaced by the Veggie Monster? Yes, that was a sad day. How do you feel about it? I was not very pleased. I was disappointed with the Sesame Street production. It's a real said turn of events. Jim Henson would be very disappointed. Yes, he would be.
Hats or no hats? It depends on what the weather is. When I was younger, I used to wear hats all the time. I can never really find a hat that I like any more to wear, so I'd say no hats a lot.
Morning or night? I'd say night. Even though, I do my best work in the morning, I love to sleep in sometimes. At night, it's a whole new world, especially in the city, there's way more to do.
Peanut Butter: Crunchy or creamy? Creamy. Definitely creamy. Why is it definitively creamy? It's a texture thing that gets me. I'd rather just eat it rather than have to chew it. With peanut butter and peanuts, it's just another step that you have to take. So, the degree of difficult goes up when it's crunchy? Yes, it goes up. Sometimes, when you're in a rush, you don't have time.
Favorite Season? I'd say Winter. I used to be an avid skiier. There's no other time to go skiing other than the Winter. Is there a "go to" place that you go skiing at? I go wherever. Wherever the snow is the best or has the most trails open.
Who's your favorite Family Guy character? I don't watch Family Guy much. Do you watch TV at all? What's your favorite show on TV? I can't really say I watch anything. I don't have time for it. I watch some History Channel stuff.
